Meteor Composite

In this project we were supposed to use Maya fluids and particles to create a realistic asteroid hitting the ground. Once rendered, I composited the asteroid into a still image and added some other effects to help it blend into the scene. Enjoy

I have been taking composting class learning how to use Nuke to composite and in my off time I have been teaching myself to use the same techniques in After Effects to get the same outcome. Here is my attempt to take a CG character and composite him into film. Enjoy.
